NBA Twitter Criticizes Russell Westbrook's Play off Bench for Lakers vs. Timberwolves
After losing in the first round of the playoffs as the defending champions two years later, they traded for Russell Westbrook.
The LA team went to Target Center looking for their first win of the 2022-23 season without AD. Their season had gotten off to a bad start.
But, just like in their last three games, they couldn't finish the game. They lost 111-102, and every starter on the team, including James, had a negative plus/minus rating.
Brodie, on the other hand, probably had his best game of the season in his first game off the bench. He did not have a negative plus/minus.
The 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, had 3 assists, a steal, and a block, and had a +/- of 0, which is, not surprisingly, his season high.
People might still make fun of him for this, but he and the Lakers might have found a solution for the 2022-23 season.
Brodie looked like he would hide behind his hamstring for the whole season if his team put him on the bench.
However, it appears that both sides have found a way to work together, and he will lead the second unit.
Even though it didn't work against the Wolves, if Davis had played in this game, it looked like the Lakers would have won by a wide margin.
